First Pony

When I was born my Dad bought a mare with a foal at foot. They were wild but very kind hearted. Not long after he purchased them the mare foaled. To leave us with two white ponies who we named Cotton and Bobbin. Dad never really broke them in, he just used to sit on them and hold me and ride them around. They both got used to being riden and as I grew up I chose Cotton. I joined pony club at eight years old and started competing Cotton. She was the best pony, and i loved her to pieces. She is the sam age as me and we grew up together. She used to Showjump 90cm and compete Grade 3 Pony Club. I had her for all these years and only ever leased her out. I couldnt part with either of them. When I purchased Bennie Vanessa was telling us about how she wanted ponies to give lessons with and take out in a cart. Well isnt that funny we have two, that are doing nothing and both are broked to Carriage. It was so hard parting with them and im forever looking at my boxes of ribbons from the past. They have a fantastic home with Vanessa and I can still see them.
